After coming off in Leeds Rhinos’ victory over Wigan Warriors due to concussion protocols, back rower James Bentley could have another injury to contend with after recent photos on Instagram have surfaced.
The Ireland international was forced to come off following failure of a head injury assessment after a nasty collision with Wigan’s Abbas Miski, leaving him in a heap on the floor. But a photo shared on Bentley’s Instagram story will be alarming to Leeds fans, as the former Saints man can be pictured wearing a knee brace, potentially meaning the back rower could be out for longer than first anticipated given the severity of the injury is unclear.
The absence of Bentley is another issue to contend with for head coach Rohan Smith who is having to deal with a catalogue of absentees. Already in the back row, Zane Tetevano is out through suspension and James McDonnell is out with an arm injury, giving the Rhinos limited options in that position as they head into their Challenge Cup clash with Wigan.

Smith is set to provide an update on Bentley later this week but he won't be in the squad to face the Warriors this week due to a failed concussion, automatically ruling him out of the match. The back-rower is off-contract at the end of the season.
