James Argent has told of his potential new love interest and hasn't ruled out a 'long distance relationship' to make the romance blossom.
The ex TOWIE favourite opened up about his love life saying he met someone 'lovely' who lives on the Greek island and he's definitely ready for a relationship – after proving unlucky in love in the past.
The reality star, 34, has until now been focussing on himself and undergone a dramatic body transformation and has come out slimmer than ever as he's now shed 14 stone.
He found his weight spiralled during lockdown and he has since underwent a gastric sleeve procedure before adding exercise and healthy eating to his daily routine.
And now he's got his weight to where he wants it to be, and seen friends settle down, he's in a good place to start his own love story.
Speaking to GB News Mark Dolan he said: “I feel more confident and I feel like I'm ready to potentially meet someone, like there was someone I've met recently who's lovely, but she lives abroad."
Undeterred by the geographical challenge of a long distance relationship he admitted the pair are staying in touch and plan to meet up late summer.
He explained: "We are in contact and stuff but I'm literally like from now till the very end of August, I don't really have a day off to be honest with you.
“So we're gonna carry on talking and hopefully we might see each other, we'll plan something maybe at the end of the summer, maybe September time, something like that.”
James ruled out re-kindling his romance with former girlfriend Gemma Collins and confirmed that they are friends.
He said: “Gemma's very happy in a relationship now with Rami.
“She seems to be pretty settled and I'm very pleased for her and, yeah, I just want the best for her, for sure.”
And although James' love life is still in the starting blocks, he is over the moon for good pal Ferne McCann, who has been a loyal friend since their TOWIE days together, who has just announced her engagement.
Sharing to Instagram the moment Fearne face timed him, he wrote : "The very moment that one of my closest & most special friends @fernemccann tells me she’s just got engaged to the very lucky @lozzahaines."
He added: "You deserve this more than anyone my beautiful friend & I know he will take good care of you! Congratulations."
And James, who is a wedding singer, could be called upon to give Ferne a musical send off and he already performed at her daughter Sunday's first birthday party.
As for his other commitments he says he's barely got a day off until the end of the summer and won't be returning to TOWIE any time soon.
“No, my TOWIE days are definitely done but I'm still a fan of the show and I often kind of check in see how everyone's getting on.'
But he said he'd be up for considering Strictly or Dancing on Ice in the future as he'd be more comfortable 'performing'.
