James Argent scared of 'getting complacent' as he talks being 'happy and positive'

James 'Arg' Argent has admitted he's worried about getting 'too complacent' when it comes to being in a good place following his mental health problems.

The former TOWIE star has been very honest about his drug problems in the past and has also been to rehab.

In April 2021, Arg underwent a sleeve gastrectomy procedure, after his weight reached 27 stone, and he's now looking much slimmer and revealed he's a lot happier.

Confirmed that he was on Lorraine to perform with his band, he told the TV presenter: "I never claimed to be a vocalist as such or a recording artist, that was never what I wanted to do, but I love singing at weddings.

"I love being a wedding singer. I'm just so grateful now that I'm actually a full time wedding singer now and I'm finally doing what I've always wanted to do."

Lorraine then said: "I feel as if you are probably in a really, really good, happy place," as Arg replied: "I am, I genuinely am."

"You've got a nice girl, a career, you're singing, you're doing all sorts of stuff," she continued.

James told Lorraine Kelly that he's feeling really good and positive about life (ITV)

"It feels good. At the moment I'm going to sleep excited for the next day and I'm waking up positive and full of energy, and just life's really good at the moment," Arg said.

"I've just gotta make sure I don't get too complacent or carried away, I've gotta remember where I was before and stuff and always keep working every day, do you know what I mean?"

James recently opened up about the prospect of having a long distance relationship with a special someone.

James confirmed he is now working as a wedding singer full time and even performed on ITV's Lorraine (ITV)

The ex TOWIE favourite opened up about his love life saying he met someone 'lovely' who lives on the Greek island and he's definitely ready for a relationship – after proving unlucky in love in the past.

Speaking to GB News' Mark Dolan he said: “I feel more confident and I feel like I'm ready to potentially meet someone, like there was someone I've met recently who's lovely, but she lives abroad."

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV and ITV Hub.
