James Acaster Leeds gig tickets chaos as angry fans 'taken to cider website' while trying to book Leeds Playhouse tour

Fans of James Acaster have claimed they are being redirected to a cider tour and London arthouse studio while trying to buy tickets for his Leeds gig.

Tickets for stand-up comedian James Acaster's new tour 'Hecklers Welcome' released this morning (March 31) with four tour dates between Wednesday, October 25 and Saturday, October 28. Fans hurried on to the Playhouse's website to snatch up tickets, on sale for £30.

But they have claimed they were met with a slow ticketing system and say they encountered wrong links when attempting to access the tour date. The links for the Wednesday and Saturday dates take customers to a site called Adam Ellis Studio with the message 404 Page Not Found.

The links for the Thursday and Friday dates take customers to a site for a page which advertises a tour called 'Cider is Wine', with the message 'Error! Page not found!'

Angry fans took to social media to vent their frustrations. Dee Thorpe said: "Really poor website. Unbelievably slow. Managed to get to the selecting tickets point and every time I went to purchase the tickets had sold."

Nick Fletcher added: "Even the links to book tickets are wrong. Very poor service." Abbie (abjmxo_) said: "Leeds Playhouse apparently tickets for James Acaster are available but it takes me to a wine website instead of actually buying tickets? Very frustrating."

Kase (@kase1504) "Leeds Playhouse, what is actually going on with these James Acaster tickets what a nightmare!!"
