Jameis Winston would ‘love’ to be Titans’ next quarterback

The new Tennessee Titans front office has repeatedly stated they are in search of their next quarterback and will turn over every stone to find him. With only Will Levis under contract, the direction the team goes in to potentially find their next signal-caller is still a mystery.

Having the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL draft, the Titans will have their choice of quarterbacks if they decide to go that route. But there are questions about whether or not any prospect in this class is a generational talent.

They could also look in free agency or a trade to find a bridge quarterback. One potential free agent who could be looking for a new team is Jameis Winston is searching for a new home. Could he be an option for the Titans?

Members of the Sick Podcast caught up with Winston and he made his feelings known when asked about the Titans.

“Man, I would love to go to Nashville,” he said. “I’d be in the dirty south. I’m from Alabama, Birmingham is two hours up the road, down the road from Nashville.”

The Titans are possibly looking for a veteran and Winston is that. Unfortunately, he might just be a more athletic version of Levis, often throwing caution to the wind in an attempt to make plays.

With poor decision-making and turnovers plaguing Tennessee throughout 2024, head coach Brian Callahan may be more inclined to find a quarterback who protects the ball and plays within the system than another gunslinger.

Winston has had a solid career. In 105 career games, he has completed 61.2 percent of his passes for 24,225 yards, 154 touchdowns, and 111 interceptions. He’s also rushed for 1,297 yards and 12 additional touchdowns.
