JAM summer club helps spread joy in EK after two-year hiatus

A fun-filled week for youngsters across East Kilbride has returned for the first time in two years.

The Jesus and Me (JAM) Club is holding its summer week of activities once again after the Covid pandemic put paid to plans over the last few years.

This year the fun week will be held at the area between Morrisons supermarket in Stewartfield and the community centre

Founder of the JAM Club, Nagy Iskander, told Lanarkshire Live: " Dr Lisa Cameron MP opened the week officially on Saturday and this event will run daily from 11am till 5pm till Sunday, July 17.

"Young people can enjoy an inflatable slide, bouncy castle, connect four games, face painting, crafts and lots of other fun.

"There will be also a chance to learn Bible verses and songs and have a chance to ask any questions about the Christian faith.

"This event is open for all in the community and all the activities are offered free.

"We are grateful to the manager of Morrisons supermarket, Joanne Power and her management team for their support of this event."
