The NBA announced the Oklahoma City Thunder wing won the award for the combined months of March and April. Willams scored 20-plus points in nine of his final 18 games during that span.

In March/April, Williams averaged 18.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists.
This is the second time Williams won the award. He also won it for October/November at the beginning of the season.
The Eastern Conference winner was Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero, which is fitting: They will likely finish as the top two in Rookie of the Year voting.
