Punters don’t typically go on to become fan favorites, but that’s exactly what Johnny Hekker has been with the Los Angeles Rams. A 10-year veteran, Hekker has been one of the best punters in the NFL.
The same can be said about Andrew Whitworth at left tackle. Since joining the Rams in 2017, Whitworth captured the hearts of Rams fans everywhere.
Both players are now on their way out of the Rams’ building, with Whitworth retiring and Los Angeles expected to cut Hekker. Jalen Ramsey has been teammates with both players since arriving in Los Angeles in 2019 and shared some high praise for them on Twitter.
He called Hekker one of the best teammates, and also said it was an honor to play on the same team as Whitworth.
