Jalen Ramsey is unable to fully participate in training camp practices, but he’s not concerned with his availability for the start of the 2022 season. On the second day of training camp for the Rams, the All-Pro cornerback uttered that there’s ‘no doubt’ he’ll be ready to play in Week 1 versus the Buffalo Bills.
Rams DB Jalen Ramsey: “No doubt in my mind” he’ll be ready for season opener vs. Bills.

Despite his performance not showing any concerns, it was revealed that Ramsey played through two AC joint sprains during the 2021 season. Ramsey would elect to undergo surgery on his shoulder earlier this offseason and the original plan was for him to begin training camp on the PUP list.
But with team doctors clearing Ramsey for limited activities, the Rams decided to refrain from placing him on the PUP list. As he recovers from his surgery, Ramsey has been doing light work on the side and giving pointers to his teammates during practice.
Seeing that Ramsey’s surgery wasn’t that long ago, some people may have been questioning his ability to suit up in Week 1. This is one of those situations where we won’t need to find a source on his status to begin the season as he’s confident he’ll be ready to perform at his typical All-Pro level to kick off the 2022 campaign.
