In what has been a season of ups and downs for Alabama’s now cemented starting quarterback Jalen Milroe who was benched after a week two loss to the Texas Longhorns. Milroe was inserted back into the starting lineup late into September in a win over Ole Miss, and the team has not dropped a loss since. Including a miracle win over Auburn tonight where Milroe made one of the biggest plays of the entire year.
Milroe has been surgical over his last four games putting up 15 total touchdowns to just one interception during that stretch. His big-time play was capitalized on Saturday with his final throw of the game against Auburn in which Milroe was able to throw an absolute laser down the field to Isaiah Bond for the ultimately game-winning touchdown with just 40 seconds left.

It has been impressive to watch the young and versatile Sophomore grow into his role as the starting quarterback for the Crimson Tide. While Milroe is unlikely to enter the 2024 NFL draft given the talent in front of him, another year at Alabama with his clutch play and clear pro-level talent could jumpstart him into the first-round conversation should he keep building on this season.
