Jalen Brunson’s mistake after helping lead Team USA to a win over Puerto Rico Monday night turned into a viral moment thanks to two of his teammates.
Brunson, the Knicks star, left his wallet in the locker room in Las Vegas after the exhibition game. Team USA teammate Tyrese Haliburton of the Pacers tracked down the wallet, but made sure Brunson paid for his misstep in a hilarious way. In a video posted to his Instagram story, Haliburton documented himself and Pelicans star Brandon Ingram with snacks from the vending machine purchased on Brunson’s dime.
The duo cleaned up, with Brunson grabbing a bag of Funyuns and Ingram buying chips and a cinnamon roll.
Here’s a look at the incredible video:

The vibes certainly seem strong in the Team USA locker room ahead of the FIBA World Cup later this month. And while this year’s team may not have a ton of A-list stars, moments like this will make this group easy to root for.
His first thought after stealing a man’s wallet was to buy a bag of Funyons lmaoooo 🤣 https://t.co/TemkqXBYuG
