Jake Paul willing to fight Tommy Fury without coach after latest delay

Jake Paul has made an offer to fight Tommy Fury without his training team as a potential showdown draws nearer.

Paul and Fury have been in talks for several weeks over a renewed rivalry which would take place nine months on from their previously scheduled December meeting. The British star was forced to withdraw from the clash after suffering a broken rib and chest infection, instead leaving Paul to fight Tyron Woodley in a rematch.

Fresh doubts were cast over a potential meeting this summer after Fury's father John appeared to confirm neither him or heavyweight champion Tyson would be able to man the star's corner on August 6. Paul has responded to the fresh doubts in a scathing video rant on Twitter, where he said: “What’s the excuse? ‘Oh I can’t come and I can’t do it because my dad can’t be there with me during the fight. Tommy, your dad has been banned from the United States for 15 years.

WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE

"You’ve known this the whole entire time. He’s a criminal. He’s not allowed in. When you fought Anthony Taylor in Cleveland, neither Tyson [Fury] or your dad were there with you in your U.S. debut. Now all of a sudden you need your team with you? That doesn’t make any f****** sense. I will agree to not have my team around me during the fight week. I will agree to not fight with my coaches in my corner.

"We can both fight solo just like Devin Haney was going to do against George Kambosos. This is what real boxers do. This is what real boxers are and they make fights f****** happen. You are scared and you claim that you are a professional boxer and you don't want to make a fight with me who you have talked so much s*** about. Where is that s*** talk now Tommy?"

Fury has since responded claiming that he is ready to accept any offer worth $2 million and make the fight happen in the US. Talks have been ongoing ever since Paul announced his plans to return on August 6, with the YouTube star's trainer claiming the fight was 90 per cent done.

The British star previously fought in his US debut against Anthony Taylor without his father John and brother Tyson in his corner. He could now be without either once again with his dad John prevented from entering the country, in addition to his heavyweight champion brother's alleged travel ban.

Paul announced his boxing return without an opponent, naming the likes of UFC legend Anderson Silva and boxing royalty Mike Tyson on a potential list to share the ring with him. However it appears Fury has stepped to the front of the queue with Paul teasing a press conference to announce the fight next week in New York.
