Jake Paul is elated to have Francis Ngannou join him in the PFL.
Officials announced on Tuesday that Ngannou, the former UFC heavyweight champion, signed with PFL where, just like Paul, he’ll compete in the promotion’s pay-per-view superfight division.
Paul, who has also been a loud advocate for MMA fighter pay, posted a video on Twitter reacting to the news.
“Francis, welcome to the PFL,” Paul said. “Everybody, it is official. This is massive, massive, massive, massive news in MMA. We have some huge fights on the horizon. Congratulations, Francis, you deserve this. The best heavyweight in the f*cking world to the PFL, and PFL Africa is going to be massive. So excited. Let’s go.”

Ngannou’s deal will give him the flexibility to box, as he expects to make his in-ring debut later this year before returning to MMA in mid-2024. Ngannou also has been appointed the chairman of PFL Africa and will serve on the company’s advisory board to represent fighter interests.
Paul also jokingly responded to Ngannou picking Nate Diaz to beat him in their August 5 boxing match in Dallas.
I just read that Francis Ngannou has Nate Diaz beating me….that’s why I love him. We are part of the same company now but he still keeps it real with his opinion.
