The Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight is the most-streamed sporting event ever, Netflix announced in a press release on Tuesday.

The broadcast peaked at 65 million concurrent streams, with 38 million concurrent streams in the U.S.

Per TVision, 56% of U.S. TV viewing between 12 a.m. ET and 1 a.m. ET belonged to Paul vs. Tyson. From the opening to the closing bell, there was an estimated average minute* (AMA) audience of 108 million live viewers globally. That figure increased to an AMA of 125 million (Live+1) as viewing continued into the weekend.

The co-main event between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano is the professional women’s sports event in American history, with 47 million AMA in the U.S. and an average of 74 million live viewers globally.

On social media, the Paul vs. Tyson fight generated 1.4 billion impressions across Netflix’s global social channels. #PaulTyson was the No. 1 trending topic worldwide on X on Friday night.

The event did experience significant technical difficulties, with many Netflix users dealing with buffering issues throughout the broadcast.

Paul vs. Tyson’s Record-Breaking Gate

Viewership was not the only record broken.

Paul vs. Tyson and Taylor vs. Seranno 2 earned a gate revenue of $18,117,072, the ninth-highest combat sports gate ever in U.S. history.

The $18 million gate nearly doubled the previous Texas gate record of $9 million set by Canelo Álvarez vs. Billy Joe Saunders in 2021.

Paul vs. Tyson is the biggest combat sports gate outside of Las Vegas in U.S. history in terms of revenue.

The average ticket price for the event was $304, a 123% increase over the previous AT&T Stadium record of $136 set by Álvarez vs. Billy Saunders.
