Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva: Live blog, results for Showtime event

GLENDALE, Ariz. – MMA Junkie is on the scene and reporting live from tonight’s Showtime event headlined by Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva.

Paul and Silva will meet in a 187-pound fight after weeks of build-up to their main event. The five-fight card also features former UFC standout Uriah Hall making his professional boxing debut in a four-round bout against former NFL All-Pro running back Le’Veon Bell.

The event gets underway at 6 p.m. ET, with the pay-per-view main card kicking off at 9 p.m. ET. Keep it locked here for results as they happen, as well as live behind-the-scenes updates.

Round 1: LEFT HOOK from Silva – MMA Junkie scores it 10-9, Silva

Round 2: Silva feeling himself and taunting on Paul – MMA Junkie scores it 10-9, Silva

Round 3: Paul more competitive fight – MMA Junkie scores it 10-9, Paul

Jake Paul and Anderson Silva go toe to toe. Very competitive. Silva with good moments, but Paul made Silva bleed from his nose.

Round 4: Paul keeps the momentum – MMA Junkie scores it 10-9, Paul.

Jake Paul backed up much less in this round and actually became the aggressor. Silva had some good shots, but his output has dropped. Close contest here.

Round 5: Uppercuts, uppercuts, uppercuts. – MMA Junkie scores it 10-9, Silva.

Anderson Silva is finding a ton of success at close quarters. He must’ve connected five or six clean uppercuts on Paul while in the clinch. Big round for the former UFC champion.

Round 6: Close, but Silva was on attack – MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9, Silva.

Very competitive. However, Silva did most of the marching down and seemed to connect more on Paul. But both trading pretty evenly.

Round 7: Paul fights back - MMA Junkie scores it 10-9, Paul.

Paul was much more on the offensive. Silva seems to be slowing down. Clear round for Paul.

Round 8: Silva gets dropped – MMA Junkie scored it 10-8, Paul. (Overall 76-75, Paul)

Silva gets dropped with a right hand in the beginning of the round. He then gets tagged with multiple right hands as they exchange, but Silva seems to have recovered quickly. Silva rallies back in the end and closes the fight well.
