Jake Paul has vowed to make his comeback fight against ex-UFC star Nate Diaz "a fight for the ages".
The YouTube star lost against bitter rival Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia earlier this year, but has announced that he will return in a new clash against MMA veteran Diaz on August 5 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. It will be a huge opportunity for Paul to get back to winning ways, but a loss could spell a disaster for the future of his short boxing career.
Diaz was known for his striking and punch power during his stint in the UFC and he could potentially pose a significant test to Paul if his skills translate into the boxing ring. And Paul believes that it will be an intriguing clash of styles in the boxing ring which could make it a fan-friendly war on the night.
"August 5 I am against Nate Diaz. The legendary UFC superstar, a brawler and one of the baddest men on the planet," he said during a YouTube video. "Now he is out of the UFC and there is no turning back, we are going to settle it in the ring. This is going to be a war, he comes prepared and comes forward. He can take big shots, I can take big shots.
"I am filled with vengeance I can't lose two in a row so this means everything to me. He doesn't want to lose to a YouTuber and I think this is going to be a fight for the ages. And I think this could be again one of the biggest pay-per-views in the last couple of years.
"I am ready to show you guys the changes I have made in my own life. I want to show you guys how to come back from a loss and to beat somebody's a**. With that said, if I lose again it will be back to everyday bro, no I am joking. But I am not going to lose but if I do I will be a YouTuber forever.

Diaz will be looking to make a huge winning appearance in the squared circle as he looks to make a mark in his lucrative bout. The UFC star choked out Tony Ferguson in his last UFC bout and has been eyeing a fight with Paul for several months prior to his contract expiring.
And he has suggested that he is not going to be making the switch simply for a payday and is eyeing a big win. “Besides Canelo he’s the biggest thing in boxing. I’m here to conquer that. I’m the king of combat sports and then I’m headed back to get my UFC belts,” Diaz said. “I fucked up Conor for acting out and now here I am again, like a super hero of the real fight game, the king of the real fight game.”
