Jake Paul is confident he would beat Conor McGregor in the cage - because the UFC legend "looks like s***".
Paul has pushed for a fight with former two-weight UFC champion McGregor in boxing, but has recently challenged the Irishman at his own game. The YouTube star issued a one-fight offer to Dana White earlier this year in the hopes of fighting McGregor in the octagon, but the UFC boss didn't acknowledge it.
Targeting a comeback fight in August, Paul wants to make his MMA debut this year and has held talks with Bellator and PFL. The 25-year-old said McGregor is a shell of the fighter he used to be and thinks he would be in for a bad night if they fought.
"Yeah, very easily as well," Paul told The Journey when asked if he could beat McGregor. "That's even right now, catch him two, three fights from now it'll be really bad for him.
"He's on the decline, drunk all the time, lost his motivation, doesn't really have a reason for why he's fighting other than his ego and I'm getting exponentially better every single day. So it's bad for him any way he slices it, that's why I say I'll fight him in MMA because I don't think he'll take it in boxing."
McGregor broke his tibia against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in his last fight and has been sidelined ever since. He is hoping to make his octagon return later this year and has called out welterweight champion Kamaru Usman for his comeback fight.
Paul thinks he is a better boxer than McGregor's last opponent Dustin Poirier, who knocked the Irishman out last January. 'The Problem Child' thinks his career is going on an upwards trajectory whilst McGregor's drinking habits are taking a toll on him.

"He just looks like s***," Paul added. "I'm a better boxer than Dustin Poirier and look what he did to him in the first round. Again it goes back to him being out of his prime and me barely coming into it. I haven't even reached my man strength age yet.
"The future is bright for me, but how much better can you get when you're drinking Jack Daniels like him every single day and getting drunk in Dubai at the end of your career really. For me I'm hungry every day and I have so much to learn, and that's why I know I could beat him in any combat sport that we do."
McGregor has admitted to drinking heavily during his recovery from the broken leg he suffered in his trilogy fight with Poirier last summer. But he has promised fans to abstain when he begins his training camp for his expected return later this year.
