Jake Paul won't be taking up coach John Kavanagh's offer to train at SBG Ireland if he does decide to swap boxing for mixed martial arts.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer has had a long-running feud with Conor McGregor, which has remained relatively one-sided with Paul's insults eliciting almost no response from the UFC star. And speaking with Mirror Fighting in December, the Irishman's coach even said he'd be willing to have Jake and his brother Logan join in with training at SBG Ireland.
But the social media star, who is 5-0 as a professional boxer and teasing a move to the cage this year, has said that he wouldn't want to train with Kavanagh, branding the SBG boss a "loser" and a "bum".
"I don't train with losers," Paul told Mirror Fighting in an exclusive chat. "So as nice and respectful as that is, coach Kavanagh you can suck my nuts. And Conor McGregor, you can suck my butthole because I don't train with losers like that, this guy hasn't won a fight so why would I want his bum a** coach teaching me."
Kavanagh has coached McGregor to four world titles; two in Cage Warriors at featherweight and lightweight before repeating the feat in the UFC years later. He also trains Bellator stars Sinead Kavanagh and Peter Queally as well as UAE Warriors middleweight champion Will Fleury and Ultimate Fighter winner Brad Katona.
And he was receptive to the idea of working with Jake, as well as his brother Logan, given their impressive wrestling credentials and characters around gyms they train at in America and Puerto Rico.
"If Jake walked through the doors I'd tell him to sign up, pay his fees and get on the mat," Kavanagh told Mirror Fighting at a fundraiser for paralysed MMA fighter Ian Coughlan in his Dublin gym. "He would be very welcome here, I'd love him to come by and train here, I've heard he's got a great energy, he's a great character.

"I think I'd probably get along with Logan a bit easier, he seems a bit more calm. That's the one who did some wrestling with Paolo Costa, he looked good. I watched that and it was only a few seconds but you could tell he's got some moves. So maybe he could come in and if he's okay then we'll allow the brother to come along!"
Paul has been angling for a fight with McGregor for the best part of two years, and has said he would be willing to do it in the octagon for the right deal. And while the Irishman has seemed less interested, he has indicated that the fight wouldn't be off the table in future. Asked at a Bellator event in February if he would take a fight with Paul, McGregor responded "who knows? Never say never."
