Jake Paul predicts Man City vs Liverpool result and puts his money where his mouth is

Jake Paul has backed Liverpool to secure all-important victory against Manchester City as they seek an advantage in the Premier League title race.

The Reds travel to the Etihad Stadium in search of a vital three points as they look to leapfrog their fellow title hopefuls who are looking to retain their Premier League title. If Jurgen Klopp's side can get a famous result on rival soil, they will be two points ahead of their rivals with seven games left to play.

YouTube star Paul has delivered his verdict on the high-stakes clash, tweeting: "Man City Vs Liverpool is a toss up. City has home field but Liverpool are on fire at the moment. I’m putting my bet on The Reds and Mohamed Salah."

Jurgen Klopp's side are in a sensational vein of form and are currently on a 10-game winning streak which has helped them close a previous fourteen point gap to City in recent weeks. City have looked equally strong under Pep Guardiola and will know that a victory will give them a vital points cushion with a favourable fixture list until the end of the season.

However, the Spaniard has acknowledged their main title rival's strengths ahead of the meeting and wants his side to use the predictably raucous atmosphere to their advantage. "In the times we've played against them (there) are always many games during the game, many decisions, many actions, many details for both sides," he said. "I think both teams are good but we try to discover the weak points that they have. They are few but we try to expose them.

"At the same time, we are at home with our people so must be ourselves. We've played them many times already, not just in the Premier League, and they were always very tight and good games."

Liverpool are without a win in their last five visits to The Etihad Stadium and Klopp will be hoping for a change of fortune if his side are to make a huge statement with a tight run-in to come. A win for either side will be considered a huge hammer blow to the opposition's title hopes with both sides also currently in the quarter final stages of the Champions League.

Paul has made an equally successful impact on the boxing ring having won all five of his professional bouts to date including two victories over Tyron Woodley. He has made a return to training ahead of a potential return which is expected to take place in August.

The YouTube star has also made an offer to compete in the UFC and has proposed a one-fight deal to face Conor McGregor in the octagon. However White is unlikely to allow Paul to fight in the promotion and McGregor is prioritising his own comeback at 170lbs.
