Jake Paul points out flaw in Conor McGregor's technique in latest training video

Jake Paul has criticised Conor McGregor for dropping his right hand "like a rookie" in his latest boxing training video.

The YouTube star has frequently mocked the UFC star in a bid to entice him into a rivalry, and has recently offered UFC president Dana White a chance to make a fight between the pair. Paul moved to criticise McGregor's first footage of his return to training, to which the Irishman issued a response branding him a "jack***".

Now Paul has issued a new criticism of McGregor's latest footage, commenting on Instagram : "He’s dropping his right hand every time he slips right, rookie." McGregor can be seen working on his feinting and head movement with his trainer, who is using two foam poles to simulate the angles of attacks.

The Irishman has only competed in the boxing ring once against Floyd Mayweather in 2017. However Paul has critiqued the footage for the second time after previously making a bold claim that he would defeat the Irishman in the ring or the UFC.

McGregor's return to boxing training represents a step up from the broken leg he suffered last year, as he continues his path to a UFC comeback. He currently weighs around 190lb after showing off a new ripped physique from his endeavours while unable to compete in the octagon.

This has led to his plan to make a potential switch to 170lb where he is hoping to challenge champion Kamaru Usman for his title in a bid to become three-weight champion. McGregor's significant weight gain would help bridge a significant size gap to Paul who is eyeing a shot at his rival before the end of his career.

In his most recent jibe, Paul has claimed that undisputed champion Katie Taylor is the biggest star in Ireland ahead of a "washed-up" McGregor. "I respect Katie Taylor," said Paul. "I think she's awesome, she's been nothing but kind to me and she's a champion she's done so much for the sport and women's boxing so for that, she's a legend.

"She's the biggest thing in Ireland, and why wouldn't she be? Conor McGregor hasn't won a fight in five years so do people really care about him? He's washed up. Obviously Katie Taylor is going to be the girl that they support." Paul had previously claimed the UFC superstar "looked like s***" after drinking every day, as concerns were raised over the lifestyle of the returning McGregor.

The YouTube star has yet to make a return to the ring himself having been out of action since his victory over Tyron Woodley last December. However he is planning a "big announcement" on his ring return in the coming weeks, and is eyeing a date in August to take on the latest opponent in his short fighting career.
