Jake Paul plans to release 'diss track' on Nate Diaz ahead of grudge fight

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul plans to mock Nate Diaz by making a 'diss track' about him in the lead-up to their fight.

Paul is scheduled to fight UFC legend Diaz on August 5 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. It will mark the YouTuber's first fight since being beaten by Love Island star Tommy Fury in February whilst Diaz steps into the ring for the first time in his career. After recently moving into a new $16million house in Puerto Rico that is kitted out with a music studio, Paul plans to put it to use by making a diss track.

"The music studio being here means it's time to make a song again," Paul said in a YouTube video. "Maybe two songs. I want to make a Nate Diaz diss track, so thumbs up this video if you want a Nate Diaz diss track and maybe just another song, kind of like fresh out of London vibes."

Paul made a diss track for his 'fight' against fellow content creator Joe Weller in March 2019, although the bout didn't go on any of their records as it took place in the YouTuber's garden. 'The Problem Child' released a song which featured boxing legend Mike Tyson called 'Park South Freestyle' just days before his knockout win against NBA star Nate Robinson, which took place on the undercard of Tyson's exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr in November 2020.

Arguably the most popular song that Paul has released was a diss track about UFC boss Dana White last January. Paul has been butting heads with White since ditching his internet fame for a career in the ring, challenging the UFC president to pardon fighters from their contractual duties with the promotion so they can fight him.

Diaz was linked to a fight against Paul for months and he was finally able to secure the clash after parting ways with the UFC last September. The 37-year-old was struggling to book a fight for all of last year but finally became a free agent when he tapped out Tony Ferguson at UFC 279.

Earlier this month, Paul and Diaz came face-to-face for the first time ahead of their fight in a bizarre press conference. There were a handful of tense moments, such as when the duo started shadow-boxing during their face-off. Paul mocked Diaz by producing a clapping toy monkey whilst the UFC legend even walked off stage at one point to use the toilet.
