Jake Paul plans to make drastic switch to new sports after fight career

Jake Paul has already expressed his interest in switching from boxing to MMA this year, but is also considering a move to the NFL and Nascar.

Paul improved to 5-0 as a professional boxer last year, knocking out Ben Askren and beating former UFC champion Tyron Woodley twice.

'The Problem Child' had planned to improve win 10 fights in the ring before considering a move to MMA, but now wants to step into the cage this year.

Linked with a move to the Professional Fighters League promotion, Paul has already started MMA training and plans to compete at middleweight in his debut.

And Paul ambitiously revealed he wants to compete in the NFL and Nascar at the same time.

“I might mess around with [MMA]. I was practising my leg kicks the other day for the first time, and it was fun. I’ve got some big beefy legs. so I might go into MMA,” Paul told ESPN.

“People forget I was an all-state wrestler in Ohio. Obviously, I already have the boxing skills, so I’m gonna go 10-0, maybe 12-0 as a boxer and then I’m either gonna go to MMA or to the NFL.

"Maybe Nascar. I’ve got a lot of options. I’m gonna go with the flow I’m gonna try and do both [NFL and Nascar] at the same time, 100 per cent.

"My dream is to be like Will Ferrell in Talladega Nights . That’s my goal."

Paul was offered help to train for an NFL move by Antonio Brown, one of the most accomplished yet controversial wide receivers in NFL history.

The 25-year-old admitted he was serious about the move and targeted a slot receiver or safety as potential positions on the field.

Paul is currently taking a break from the ring to focus on his duties for Most Valuable Promotions after competing four times in 13 months.

It was announced yesterday that Amanda Serrano, who is represented by Paul's promotion, will fight Katie Taylor for the undisputed lightweight titles.

Serrano signed with Most Valuable Promotions just four months ago and is now involved in, what is being dubbed, the biggest fight in women's boxing.

“We expect a battle for the ages and have the utmost respect and admiration for Katie Taylor," Paul and his business partner Nakisa Bidarian said in a statement.

"But make no mistake, we are standing next to Amanda Serrano and know she will prove to the world that she is the pound-for-pound greatest female boxer to ever enter the ring.

"This is more than a fight, this is for forever.”
