Jake Paul next fight: Date, UK time and undercard for Hasim Rahman Jr bout

Jake Paul will face a legitimate boxer in his return to the ring this summer, but it won't be the 8-0 Tommy Fury.

The Brit has been forced to pull out of their scheduled fight at Madison Square Garden due to an issue with his visa for travelling to America, and has been replaced by another member of a legendary family in Hasim Rahman Jr. The 31-year-old American is the son of former world heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, and will prove a massive step up in competition.

Paul has promised fans that he will face a fighter with a proper professional record, and will deliver against Rahman in New York. The pair have sparred together in the past, with the heavyweight insisting that while he noted improvements, he will be able to stop Paul within a round.

Here's all you need to know about the new fight...

When is Jake Paul vs Hasim Rahman Jr?

Jake Paul and Hasim Rahman Jr will fight at Madison Square Garden in New York City on August 6. The pair will compete at cruiserweight, although Rahman is expected to be slightly heavier.

The bout takes place over eight rounds of three minutes, and will be the sixth professional fight of Paul's career

What time will Jake Paul vs Hasim Rahman Jr start in the UK?

The event will likely begin in the early hours of Sunday, August 7 in the UK. However, given that the fight takes place in New York, there is only a five hour time difference so expect it to be earlier than many Stateside cards.

It is expected that there will be four or five main card fights, with a large set of prelim fights as well, meaning around seven-eight bouts total on the night.

Quotes corner

Jake Paul: "Bigger, Stronger, More experienced, KO power. But it doesn’t matter. They don’t have my heart, don’t have my drive & definitely don’t have my team. August 6 I’m showing the world that Jake Paul is a bad motherf***er.

Hasim Rahman: "I would try my best not to let them out of the first minute, if they want entertainment that's fine. I would put my money on the fight ending in the first round, I wouldn't say the first minute. I would feel kind of embarrassed if I let him out of the first round, I have to hold it down for boxing at that point. I'd be saying 'ref, he don't belong in here with me, so get him out of there'. That's the type of mentality I'd be coming in with."
