Jake Paul makes $30million offer to Will Smith and Chris Rock after Oscars slap

Jake Paul has offered $15million each to Chris Rock and Will Smith for a boxing match after their scuffle at The Oscars.

The Hollywood A-Listers clashed on stage at the plush awards ceremony last night after comedian Rock made a joke about Smith's wife. And now Paul has offered them a chance to settle their feud in the ring for a lucrative sum this summer.

Paul tweeted out his tongue-in-cheek offer after Impractical Jokers stat Sal Vulcano asked fans on social media what the likelihood was that he would make a fight offer was. The social media star, who is 5-0 as a professional boxer, replied to Vulcano with a lucrative $30m deal for the actors to make their ring debuts.

"Over/under on how much Jake Paul is gonna offer Chris Rock and Will Smith for a boxing PPV?" Vulcano tweeted, with Paul responding "I got $15m for Will Smith and $15m for Chris Rock ready to go. Let’s do it in August on my undercard." He later added: "Someone get me on the phone with Will Smith's boxing representative asap."

While presenting for the best documentary feature category, Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith, Will's wife, who has shaved her head due to struggles with alopecia. Having made the pair laugh just seconds earlier with his quick lines, it appeared that Rock had crossed the line with the film star taking to the stage and striking him before shouting, "Keep my wife's name out your mouth".

UFC President Dana White was one of the millions who tweeted about the incident, which was viewed tens of millions of times within hours of happening. "FINALLY!" White posted. "There's an #Oscars show worth watching. AND Chris Rock has a chin."

Pound-for-pound MMA great Jon Jones also got in on the action, posting his support for both Smith and Rock. He said: "Anyone watching the Oscars? Will Smith is a gangster for that one, Chris Rock was the ultimate professional for the way he continued."

Smith has a small amount of previous boxing training, having played Muhammad Ali in the 2001 biopic about his life. He was trained for the film by former Sugar Ray Leonard coach Darrell Foster, and reportedly put in a professional boxing-style training camp that included morning running, watching fight tape and hours of combat training.

This is the second celebrity fight offer that Paul has made after previously claiming he wants to allow Kanye West and Pete Davidson to settle their bitter feud in the ring. He offered to guarantee the two men as much as $30m each through his promotional company Most Valuable Promotions, as well as offering PPV back-end earnings.

He posted a video to social media saying: "I have an official offer for Kanye West and Pete Davidson. "I have $30million for each of you, guaranteed, plus pay-per-view upside for a six-round boxing match.

"Let's make it happen; let's settle this beef like men before the children get affected by your antics. Let's get it done; make it happen."
