Jake Paul issues KSI with ultimatum as YouTube rivals attempt to set fight date

Jake Paul has given KSI until next week to accept his offer for a fight in the UK at the end of the year.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul and fellow content creator KSI have been on a collision course to fight ever since the pair ditched their internet fame for careers in the ring. Paul has been the more active of the two, going unbeaten in six professional fights whilst KSI laced up the gloves after a three-year lay-off last August by winning two fights in one night.

The rivals argued during a Twitter Spaces social media call last night and Paul has now issued a deadline to KSI if he wants the fight to take place on UK soil. 'The Problem Child' is willing to fight KSI in the UK in December, but if the Brit doesn't accept by next week Paul insists it must take place in America.

"I sent KSI and his team a contract over a month ago. I offered to come to the UK, 185 pounds and 10 rounds. I have been at 8 rounds since Askren. He and his team have yet to respond," Paul wrote. The offer was/is to come to the UK in December 2023. If he doesn’t respond next week after his show, then it’s going to have to be in the US. The best part is he tells Ariel Helwani that I’m hiding behind negotiations when in fact he has yet to respond. Hahaha."

KSI claimed Paul wasn't being transparent in his efforts to fight him, telling his rival during their Twitter space: "You say you are ready but then the negotiations don't say that. You are full of s***." Paul responded by stating: "I agreed to fight you for free and you know that and everyone online knows that on short notice. You had me two weeks for free and you still p***ied out."

Paul had made the offer to fight KSl for free when the Brit's opponent Alex Wassabi pulled out of their fight last August. KSI went on to fight rapper Swarmz and professional boxer Luis Pineda on the same night, stopping both men in a farcical event with neither of the fights being recorded as professional bouts.

KSI is back in action this Saturday as he fights fellow content creator FaZe Temperr after Bellator MMA fighter Dillon Danis pulled out on just 10 days' notice. Paul is expected to fight in the Middle East on February 25 against Tommy Fury after two failed meetings last year and he is even willing to make the fight happen a week earlier if it takes place in the UK.
