Jake Paul demands $15million purse to move Tommy Fury fight to the UK

Jake Paul will come to the UK to fight Tommy Fury on just a few weeks notice, if the Brit's team can put together a $15million purse.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer flew to New York to promote his August 6 fight with Fury, which is now in jeopardy after the Love Island star was denied entry to America earlier this week. Paul has insisted that he will get to his rival through any means necessary, and has now indicated he would even go to England to do the fight, should he be paid accordingly.

Paul is promoting the fight in America alongside broadcaster Showtime Boxing, with millions expected to be made at the box office both in ticket sales and pay-per-view buys. And he would need to be paid a bigger purse if those were to be hit by a late change in venue and time zone.

He believes that all Fury needs to do is go to the American Embassy in London and obtain an expedited working visa. Fury claimed in his video explaining his recent travel ban that his attempt at getting an ESTA was denied; a visa which wouldn't have permitted him to work in the United States.

"Update, we've spoken to Tommy Fury's lawyers," Paul said in a social media video from Madison Square Garden, where the fight is expected to take place, today. "They are all advising him to just go to the embassy and get his visa, that's all he has to do.

"But Tommy is showing no urgency, he hasn't gone yet, he's not communicating with us on what he's doing. Is this another case of Tommy Fumbles being scared to fight me? I think that's what it is.

"I think the Fury family is trying to manipulate something here to make me fight in the UK. Okay, you want me to fight in the UK? Show me $15million.

"Because here in America we do more pay-per-view buys, more ticket sales and more sponsorship. I've shown you the money and we're ready to go in MSG on August 6.

"Tommy, you're going to miss out on the biggest payday of your life because you want me to come to the UK? Like I said, I'll come there, just show me the money.

"Y'all can't do that, y'all don't have $15million, this is embarrassing, go to the embassy, get your visa and let's make this fight happen. Stop ducking me and stop wasting my time."

Fury has claimed innocence, claiming that he and his lawyers weren't sure why he was denied entry to America. Speaking on Instagram, he said: "Me and my team arrived at Heathrow Airport ready to fly out.

"And as soon as I entered the airport I was pulled to one side and told by a Homeland Security officer that my ESTA had been denied and that I wasn't able to travel to the USA for a reason I apparently know.

"I can stand here and say I have done nothing wrong and I have no clue why I'm not allowed to travel to the USA. I've been training for a fight this whole time and that's all I've been doing. I have no clue why I'm not allowed to travel and neither does my team or my lawyers.

"Now I've got to go to the embassy trying to resolve it and I'm in the middle of training. I don't know why this has happened a huge shock to me and my team. It's government issues and it's a lot bigger than the fight right now and I'm trying to get it sorted."
