Jake Paul confirms Tommy Fury press conference decision amid US entry issue

Jake Paul's promotional team have issued a statement and confirmed that tomorrow's scheduled press conference between the two is now postponed. The two were set to come face-to-face for the first time after the fight was made official, but Fury now faces a race against time to gain entry to the United States.

The 22-year-old British boxer was due to fly out to New York City for a press conference with Paul for their upcoming boxing bout on August 6 at Madison Square Garden. But Fury has now revealed that he was turned away at Heathrow Airport after having his ESTA denied, with the fighter now at the British embassy in an attempt for the issue to be dealt with in order to fly out.

Fury claims that he has no idea why he has been denied, after being in California in May.

Paul's boxing promotional company, Most Valuable Promotions, tweeted: "Despite many assurances by Tommy Fury and his team that he was able to come to the U.S., and knowing that Tommy was in California just last month, we were surprised to learn that he had an issue at Heathrow airport on Monday.

"As a result of circumstances out of our control, the scheduled press conference for Wednesday at MSG has been postponed. We are working with our partners at SHOWTIME and Madison Square Garden and will share more information as soon as we are able."

Paul himself is seemingly not happy with Fury once again. On Twitter, Paul said: "Tommy, no matter how hard u try to get out of this fight, I’m going 2 do everything in my power 2 not let u weasel ur way out. My team & my partners have made it clear the steps u need to take 2 solve ur latest excuse. Take them or admit ur a scared little b****. #TommyFumbles."
