Jake Paul celebrates as Tommy Fury boards flight to Saudi Arabia for grudge fight

Jake Paul has celebrated Tommy Fury's "delicious" news that he has boarded his flight to Saudi Arabia for their showdown.

YouTube star Paul will finally get the opportunity to settle his rivalry with ex-Love Island star Fury next weekend at the third time of asking. The showdown has been years in the making with the Briton forced to pull out of their opening clash with a broken rib, before being banned from travelling to the US for their second planned meeting last year.

However despite the failed attempts, Paul and Fury reached a new agreement to do battle in the Middle East, and it appears the fight is finally set to go beyond the ropes as both men look to pick up a career-best win. Fury today posted a photo from his first-class seat on a flight to Saudi Arabia with the caption confirming his journey commencing from London.

And with fight week approaching, Paul responded with delight to the news, tweeting: "TOMMY FURY BOARDED HIS FLIGHT TO SAUDI. DELICIOUS! #PaulFury." Paul was initially reluctant to hand Fury a chance again to reschedule their bout after feeling let down by the clashes' two previous collapses.

The YouTube star then insisted the fight was done at the discretion of Fury's promoter Frank Warren after admitting he lost millions in financial losses following the downfall of their two failed bouts. Despite negotiations appearing to be on the brink of further collapse, a deal was ironed out with the pair now on a collision course.

Fury failed to show up at the launch press conference which sparked fears with Paul that his rival could turn down the opportunity to settle the scores once again. However the Briton suggested he would remain in training camp to focus on his preparations, with "personal and private matters" also disrupting his attendance.

Earlier this week, Fury reinforced news that he intends to attend the event, insisting he is ready to bring a curtain down on their bitter feud. "At the end of the day, if I cared about what people thought about me I probably wouldn't be in this position in the first place," Fury told Mirror Fighting. "I don't care what anybody thinks about me as long as God knows I'm doing good, my family; my missus and my baby.

"They're the opinions that I care about. At the end of the day, everyone's going to have an opinion, let them think what they're going to think. I will be there bright and early in Saudi Arabia, ready for this. There's no worries of me not showing up to this fight.

"The two previous fights that didn't go ahead were completely out of my hands, they had nothing to do with me whatsoever. What happened is what happened, but I am fit, I am conditioned, I'm here, I'm ready and I will be in Saudi don't worry about that."
