Jake Paul apologises to Tommy Fury and gives gift Molly-Mae Hague will 'appreciate'

Jake Paul has apologised for leaking the birth of Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury's baby daughter Bambi as part of the build-up to this weekend's fight.

Hague gave birth in January, and Paul inadvertently announced the new arrival himself in a social media post before the couple could do so themselves. The American detailed in an update announcing the fight that Fury had "no excuses now" before listing that the "baby is born" among other reasons no longer preventing them from fighting.

Paul did say "sorry" to Tommy later last month, but more sincerely apologised for his actions shortly after their pre-fight press conference in Saudi Arabia. Fury was also handed a gift by his opponent.

While taking part in a sit-down face-to-face, Paul said: "I apologise actually for leaking your baby's announcement; I honestly didn't mean to say that before," he told Fury. "That's what I'm saying; I just want to say that I didn't mean to leak that announcement."

Fury claimed that the couple were unfazed by the leak, saying: "This guy is all the way overseas, and he's putting out a statement, so are 20 million other people. He doesn't know anything about our private life. Me and Molly both looked at that like, 'okay, sweet'."

Paul then revealed a white gift box tied with a ribbon and handed it over to Fury, saying: "I've actually got a gift for Bambi; this is like a really nice designer baby brand."

Fury welcomed the gesture, replying: "Well, thank you very much; I'm sure she [Hague] will appreciate it." Fury's father was more forthcoming in showing his appreciation to Paul directly by interrupting the interview to shake Paul's hand before saying a few words.

"Let me shake this man's hand, because you've gone up one million per cent in my estimation. May the best man win, appreciate it, may the best man win, mate. Good lad."
