YouTube star and boxer Jake Paul will be the focus of a new Netflix 'Untold' documentary to be released on the eve of his fight with Nate Diaz this summer.
The social media sensation had his first white collar bout in 2018 when he defeated YouTube star Deji before turning professional in 2020 and going on to have six fights, winning five and dropping all of his opponents. He is currently preparing to come back from his first loss when he faces Diaz in Texas on August 5.
And in a social media post today, Paul confirmed that he would be the focus of an upcoming documentary for the series, with his story providing the backdrop for their third season premiere. The 70-minute feature will be directed by Andrew Renzi, who most famously made the feature Pepsi, Where’s My Jet?
"My life has been on display since I was 16 but my story has never been told," Paul wrote on social media. "#UntoldNetflix August 1." A synopsis for the film reads: "At 26, is Jake Paul the boxing world’s new savior or a “delusional” promoter who packs more punch in his marketing skills than in his right hand? It depends on whom you ask.
" UNTOLD: Jake Paul the Problem Child is an unflinching deep dive into how a wide-eyed kid from Ohio morphed from Internet sensation to most polarising man in sports. For every high-profile critic (UFC president Dana White), there’s another supporter in his corner (former professional boxer Mike Tyson ).
"In 2013, Jake and his older brother, Logan, lit up social media with pranks and antics posted first to Vine and then a YouTube channel that racked up millions of views. The brothers parlayed their online success into lucrative side hustles, with Jake releasing music and landing a role on a Disney Channel show ( Bizaardvark).

Paul is no stranger to the cameras, and has recently returned to making regular video blogs on his YouTube channel which has over 22million subscribers. He will document his own life as he prepares to fight Diaz, and is planning a rematch with Tommy Fury in February.
