Jake Paul and Tommy Fury separated on stage after scuffling ahead of grudge fight

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury had to be separated on stage after a brief scuffle at their press conference to promote their grudge fight.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul and Love Island star Fury are scheduled to meet over eight rounds in Saudi Arabia this Sunday after two previous bookings between them have been cancelled. The bitter rivals came face-to-face in Riyadh on Thursday evening at their press conference and had to be separated after having a push and shove.

Paul issued a pre-fight bet to Fury in which he said: "I think we make a deal then since you're so confident, if you win I'll pay you double what I'm paying you already. If I win I take everything that I'm paying you, deal or no deal since you're so confident? Deal or no deal? I want to shake it, I just want to shake your hand.

Fury then stood up and responded by telling his rival: "Why are you going to stand up like you want to do something? Sit back down? What are you going to do." Fury's dad John then agreed to Paul's bet on his son's behalf by saying: "You've dealt, you've got a deal."

Paul and Fury then agreed to the bet by shaking hands, but things unsurprisingly got tense and they had to be separated by those on stage. Paul told Fury to "put his money where his mouth is" whilst the Brit labelled his rival a "s***house" and "b****". Fury tried his best to lunge at Paul and told him: "I'm putting you away inside the first round, it's over, back on the microphone."

Derek Chisora and Paul's manager Nakisa Bidarian were amongst those who stopped the rivals from coming to blows, whilst Fury's dad John demanded the pre-fight bet to be issued in writing. Paul mocked Fury for having his dad accept the challenge on his behalf, also claiming that his lawyers had the pre-fight bet prepared in writing.

"Your dad is more confident than you. You realise that they can't be in the ring, you realise that Tyson can't be in the ring with you," Paul said. "You need your dad to hold your hand the whole entire time. When your dad said deal you looked back at him like 'Why did you do that Dad?'. He can't hold your hand in the ring."

John then put pressure on his son by stating: "Can I say one thing and I'll wrap this all up, if Jake beats Tommy then Tommy doesn't deserve to be paid." Fury then agreed with his dad by saying "amen".
