Jake Paul has accused rival KSI of avoiding him - and missing out on a $100million pay-day in the process.
KSI has been forced to find a replacement opponent for his upcoming return to the ring after Alex Wassabi was forced out of their bout with concussion. Paul offered to step in at three weeks' notice - and to fight for free - but KSI gave his suggestion short shrift, revealing he has an opponent lined up.
But Paul has made one last-ditch attempt to shame the Londoner into accepting a fight by posting a lengthy video on social media. "My opponent pulled out because he couldn't make weight, didn't want to make weight, then Alex Wasabbi, KSI's opponent, got a concussion and had to pull out, leaving us both without a fight," he said.
"I immediately step up to the plate to fight KSI even though I've been raging for the last six days, I agree to all his terms, 180lb, fighting him in London and I even said I will fight him for free, but KSI still ducked me and this is officially the biggest duck of all time. Think about it, KSI could make $50-$100million from fighting me; I said I would fight for free. Now he's throwing up smokescreens, trying to convince people for some other reason why he's not talking this fight.
"Shut up, man, you're scared to fight me. This is your opportunity to cut me down 20lb over the next 20 days and to make all the money from the event. KSI, fighting me right now would have been your best chance; I'd be cutting all of this weight, I'm not in camp right now, my team is nowhere around me, we would have to reassemble, fly to the UK with the time difference and fight in front of all of your fans.
"You've said you have the mindset, you've said you're going to win no matter what. I'm willing to be the B-side, I'm willing to go to London and I'm willing to make 180lb yet you're still not willing to make this fight happen because of short-notice s***. Well guess what, the fight you're about to do is on short-notice. Whatever opponent you're going to announce, no-one is going to give a f*** about them. The bottom line is you're scared and now you're trying to confuse everyone as to why this happened or why you shouldn't do it. We're not buying it; you're the biggest b**** of all time.
Should KSI fight Jake Paul? Let us know in the comments section below
"KSI just tweeted me for fighting Tyron Woodley at three weeks' notice, basically saying he's an old UFC guy, trying to discredit my opponent but KSI, I guarantee you would never fight Tyron Woodley and he's ready to step in and fight you at three week's notice. So if he's just some old UFC guy you're trying to discredit, why not fight him instead of some no-name opponent you're about to put in? Because you won't do it.
"KSI, just admit you're buying time and that you're not ready to fight me yet. That's what we want to hear; we now your ego is in the way of that. You're acting all tough and saying all these things to try to cover your tracks but the bottom line is you don't want to fight."
KSI had earlier responded to Paul's offer by claiming any fight between the rivals needs to be announced well in advance and that it would be staged at the 90,000-capacity Wembley Stadium rather than the much smaller O2 arena.
