Jake Paul accused of turning down $30million to fight UFC legend in boxing ring

Hasim Rahman Jr claims YouTube star Jake Paul turned down $30million to fight Vitor Belfort, which is why he stepped up to fight the UFC legend instead.

The son of former world heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman was due to fight Paul last month before the event was cancelled due to weight issues. Rahman Jr will look to earn his way back into a major fight with Paul when he faces former UFC light-heavyweight champion Belfort on November 19.

Belfort, 45, called out Paul after knocking out ring legend Evander Holyfield to pick up his first boxing win in 15 years. Triller co-founder Ryan Kavanaugh offered Paul $30million for the fight, but the YouTube star showed no interest in the fight and mocked Belfort by posting a picture of him being knocked out by Anderson Silva on Twitter. Rahman Jr said he is fighting Belfort to prove a point that Paul was "scared" to face him.

“It is more-so about proving a point of why fake Paul was scared,” Rahman told The Schmo. “He doesn't want to fight Vitor, he declined that. They put $30 million on the table for them to fight and he didn’t want to take that and then now he didn’t want to fight me."

Rahman continued. “So, these two guys that Jake Paul is obviously ducking and obviously scared of, now we going to fight. I don't think any way the fight goes, I don’t think Jake is going to be in a hurry to get in the ring with either one of us.”

Paul faces another UFC legend in 47-year-old Silva next month as he looks for his sixth professional win. 'The Problem Child' is hoping to set up an illustrious fight against fellow YouTube star KSI by beating Silva, with the pair expected to meet next year at Wembley Stadium. Rahman thinks KSI, who beat two opponents in one night last month, needs at least two more fights under his belt to have a chance of beating Paul in a potential fight.

"They're two completely different fighters, fake Paul is a little more fundamentally sound from the little bit they've shown," Rahman Jr added. "In actual fights, KSI pushes the pace. He is relentless as he keeps coming forward and throwing punches, it's like his foot is never off the gas. I think Jake probably has the edge in experience, but give KSI two more fights and I'd probably lean towards him if they fought."
