Jair Tavares opens up on key factor behind Hibs transfer and his attributes as a player

Jair Tavares admits Lee Johnson's trust in him as a player was a key factor in his move to Hibs.

The 21-year-old - who has put to pen to paper on a four-year deal - can't wait to get started at Hibs and showcase his talents.

“It’s a historical club in this country and is a big opportunity to play for this club, to show me and this club to the world. I am here to help the club.

“The experience I had in the second league in Portugal for Benfica B really helped me a lot because I played against big men, which gave you a lot of experience; that’ll be important for this season at Hibernian FC.”

On his key attributes as a player, he added: "As a player, I’m a fast guy, I’m skilful, but I will always just look to help the team.”
