JAIPUR: Police on Thursday arrested gangster Raju Theth and his aides from the house of a former MLA under Mahesh Nagar police station.
Mahesh Nagar SHO Sajjan Singh Kavya said Theth was living in the house of Prem Singh Bajor, a former MLA.
“We are trying to examine why Theth was living in that house, including if there was any rent agreement for the same,” Kavya said, adding that a total of eight persons were arrested including Theth.
Police said Theth was booked under Section 151 (arrest to prevent the commission of cognizable offences) of CRPC.
City police also said they had also nabbed Theth’s aides, including three of his bodyguards. As per Kavya, police also recovered some firearms from the house which are being verified to see if they were licensed guns or not. Police had found multiple CCTVs on Theth’s house and said that his presence in the city remains a major concern due to his previous criminal activities.
