This list includes 49 people jailed in May for crimes linked to Merseyside.
Courts across our region heard a range of cases, including a man who murdered his dad for no apparent reason and a paedophile jailed after police found a video he made of himself raping a child. This month also saw a woman jailed for breaking a love rival's nose and a coked-up brute who made his girlfriend's life hell.

A yob who was found with 2.5kg of MDMA and tried to tell the police he was just "holding it" for his drug dealer was also sent to prison, as were two thugs who threatened to shoot a man in Childwall.
Underworld past of thug who drove BMW X6 through grandma's bungalow
A Merseyside man who left a 92-year-old grandmother with serious leg injuries after he crashed his BMW into her house was previously jailed for kidnap.
Edna Kearns was trapped in her bedroom after Michael Vose's BMW smashed through her bungalow during the early hours of the morning. Neighbours thought a 'bomb had gone off' due to the scale of the damage. Vose was arrested when police arrived at the scene.
Photographs showed a BMW X6 completely embedded in the house and emergency workers had to carefully extricate Ms Kearns from the rubble. Vose, who later admitted causing serious injury through dangerous driving and causing criminal damage to the property, is set to be sentenced.

Today thousands of people lined the streets of Liverpool to welcome The Reds back home.
Confetti and red smoke filled the air and fans cheered and chanted as the players passed by lifting the Carabao Cup and FA Cup trophies. Children climbed bus stops, men climbed onto the Toby Carvery and others hired a cherry picker just to get a glimpse of their player, their winners.
Red flags and scarves were waved as the team partied on the red bus while Calvin Harris provided the soundtrack to the parade with Dua Lipa's One Kiss blasting out above the crowds. Fans ran alongside the bus in scenes the city has not seen since before the pandemic.
