A drug dealer has been jailed after police raids found he had more than £100,000 in criminal cash.
Jack Modlinsky, 24, has been brought to justice after an investigation uncovered a huge drug dealing operation based in Cheetham Hill.
Specialist firearms officers carried out warrants at three addresses in Cheetham Hill associated with Modlinsky on March 25 and found several items including around £134,000 in cash, a quantity of drugs and a knife.
The drugs were later analysed and found to be cocaine with an estimated street value of £8,000, according to Greater Manchester Police.
Modlinsky, of Thorngate Road, Cheetham Hill, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of criminal property.
He was jailed for five years and eight months at Minshull Street Crown Court yesterday (May 20).
Following the hearing, Detective Inspector Simon Akker, of GMP's Firearms Investigation Team, said: "Acting on intelligence, the raids were part an on-going operation to tackle organised crime in the area.
"Everyone involved has been working tirelessly to gather intelligence and execute these warrants, and the results speak for themselves.
"Tackling organised crime remains a high priority for GMP and I am pleased with this verdict.
"I hope this sends a strong message to anyone involved with the supply of drugs into our local communities that this will not be tolerated and sooner or later you will be found out."
