These are the faces of 14 people locked up for crimes linked to Merseyside this past week.
Judges had to sentence two killer drivers - one a speeding scrambler rider who mowed down a young woman and the other a stoned yob in a stolen car who ploughed into two cyclists who were both parents.
Courts heard about a boyfriend who stabbed his partner in bed when she thought he was giving her a cuddle and a vicious ex-partner who stalked his victim and even threatened to attack her child.

One judge had to sentence a prison officer who had a baby with an inmate after forming an inappropriate relationship with him behind bars and also befriending his brother in the same jail.
Judges dealt with monstrous rapists, serial sex offenders and twisted paedophiles.
Meanwhile, they had to sentence drug dealers who peddled misery on our streets only for the long arm of the law to catch up with them.
Here is an overview of some of the most serious cases to have concluded this past week.
Philip Ainsworth

A young mum thought Philip Ainsworth was cuddling her in bed when he stabbed her in the stomach.
Sarah Weir felt like she had been punched and then noticed her night clothes were wet.
Looking down she saw blood on her hands and a knife handle sticking out of her abdomen.
She fled to a neighbour's home screaming "I'm going to die" as she feared bleeding out and leaving her children without a mum on February 21 this year.
Ainsworth, 39, of Sparrow Close, Widnes, who has a record of domestic violence against an ex-partner, admitted wounding.
The court heard he has a history of mental and behaviour disorders due to alcohol dependency and had been drinking vodka that night.
He was jailed for two years and four months.
Daniel King
Stoned scrambler yob Daniel King was speeding at 60mph on a stolen bike moments before he killed a "much-loved" woman.
The 28-year-old mowed down "beautiful" Rebecca Cooke, 26, who was taking a daily afternoon walk in Huyton when working from home, after he swerved onto a pavement to try and avoid an oncoming police car.
Ms Cooke suffered catastrophic injuries when she was thrown into a pillar by a wall on March 1 this year and later died in hospital.
King was speeding along on a KTM530 bike when he mounted the pavement in Court Hey Road and hit the victim at around 35mph.
The rider, who has 14 previous convictions for 28 offences, was treated for a bleed on the brain and leg injuries after the crash.
He was banned from driving at the time, only had a provisional licence and was wanted for failing to attend court for driving while disqualified.
King, of Nimrod Street, Walton, admitted death by dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving while disqualified.
He was jailed for eight years and three months and banned from the road for eight years.
Lee Ablitt
Lee Ablitt led police on a high speed chase over the Thelwall Viaduct.
Ablitt, who ran the Vulcan Gym in Newton-Le-Willows, admitted dangerous driving and perverting the course of justice.
The 47-year-old, of Dixon Avenue in Newton-le-Willows, was spotted in a grey BMW under and overtaking traffic on the M6.

He reached more than 120mph as officers gave chase and he crossed the viaduct at around 9.05pm on October 30 last year.
Ablitt then joined the M62, when his speed reached around 150mph, before he escaped and later claimed his car had been stolen.
In a police interview he finally admitted it was him behind the wheel and he was jailed for six months.
Williams Adams
Predatory child rapist Williams Adams was hit with yet more time behind bars for his sick crimes.
Adams served seven years in jail for raping a girl in Ireland before travelling to Merseyside in 2005, just days after his release from prison.
Almost as soon as he arrived in Liverpool he befriended his next victim, lavishing her with gifts and taking her family on a three-week holiday to Blackpool - funded by his Catholic priest lover - only to rape her every night of the trip.
Adams, of Meadow Hey, Bootle, admitted five counts of rape in 2007 and was jailed for life with a minimum of seven and a half years.
Last week he was handed a further three years in prison for historical sex abuse at a care centre in Northern Ireland in the 1980s.
Steven Cargin
Steven Cargin threatened to stab a woman and said he would batter her eight year old daughter.
He launched a terrifying campaign of harassment against the woman following their split in 2019.
The possessive ex called her 100 times a day at one point and told her: "I love you but I'm going to have to kill you."
His victim, who the ECHO chose not to name, was forced to move home after he harassed her for over a year and even tried to run her off the road as she drove home from work.
When arrested in August 2020, the 34-year-old coughed over police officers, telling them: "I've got corona."
After being charged, Cargin, of Lime Close, Stoneycroft, fled from court and went on the run for five weeks.
Cargin, who has 21 previous convictions for 48 offences, admitted harassment involving fear of violence, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and two counts of assaulting an emergency worker.
He was jailed for three years, two months and 14 days.
Keiran Alderton
Keiran Alderton bought Kinder Eggs to give to a "girl" he was planning to meet at McDonald's.
He was arrested outside B&M in Hunts Cross after the 13-year-old child turned out to actually be an undercover police officer.
The 31-year-old, under the username 'HornyScouser78', had said in sick onlie chats that he was "going to kiss the face off her".
The dad-of-two, of Feltwell Road, Anfield, was arrested at around 11am on June 10, 2020.
Police then searched his home and discovered 347 child sex abuse images on his iPhone, including pictures of children being raped.
He admitted attempting sexual communication with a child and to meet a child after sexual grooming, plus three counts of downloading and one count of possessing indecent images of children.
Alderton was jailed for two years and two months.
Kyle Arathoon

Kyle Arathoon's drug dealing days came crashing down when police seized his gun and high purity cocaine.
A CCTV operation and damning text messages helped snare the 19-year-old drugs dealer from Ellesmere Port.
Police raided his house in Richard Court on April 9 this year and found £5,000 of cocaine plus £2,000 of ketamine and cannabis.
Officers then recovered "a small firearm that fires blanks and irritant gas cartridges" from the boot of his Volvo S60 car outside.
CCTV showed Arathoon accessing the boot of the car.
He admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine, ketamine and cannabis, possessing the three drugs with intent to supply and possessing a firearm.
Arathoon was jailed for four years and three months.
Colin Smith

Stoned driver Colin Smith mowed down two cyclists while speeding in a stolen car.
He ploughed into mum-of-two Clare Killey and dad-of-two Anthony Cope after doing 72mph in a 40mph zone.
The 23-year-old was more than twice the cannabis limit at the wheel of a white Ford Fiesta ST Turbo on false plates.
The coward left his victims to die, then tried to blame another driver, who he claimed "pulled out" in front of him in Speke.
But he was found guilty of causing both cyclists' deaths and seriously injuring Katy Nicholson, a passenger in another car.
He had earlier admitted drug driving, handling stolen goods and four counts of fraud, relating to attempts to insure the car.
Smith had a car full of friends as he sped around a blind bend on Dunlop Road, at around 7pm, on February 28, 2019.
The then 21-year-old tried to avoid a red Ford Fiesta, clipped its nearside and swerved into the wrong lane.
He ploughed into health visitor Mrs Killey, 45, from Childwall, and builder Mr Cope, 39, from Halewood, then hit a Ford C-Max.
Smith, formerly of Lower Road, Halewood, now of Lavender Gardens, Warrington, was jailed for 11 years.
Simon Dickinson

Simon Dickinson swapped videos of children being raped in a sickening group chat called "TeenTinyGirl".
In the perverted chat on Kik Messenger hen and other paedophiles would comment on child sex abuse videos calling them "sexy".
The 44-year-old's disgusting behaviour was revealed after he used Snapchat to share pictures of child sex abuse, and police were able to trace his IP address.
After raiding his home on November 24 last year, officers found that he had also sent links to videos of child rape to seven other people.
Dickinson, of Dwerryhouse Lane, West Derby, admitted three counts of downloading, one count of possessing and two counts of distributing indecent images of children, possessing an extreme pornographic image, and possessing indecent photographs of children for show.
He was jailed for two and a half years.
Kevan Barker

Kevan Barker claimed he turned to drug dealing after being left devastated by two deaths in the family.
The 46-year-old said he fell into taking and dealing drugs due to a number of tragedies, including the breakdown of a long term relationship.
Gareth Bellis, defending, said: "Barker suffered the breakdown of a 17-year relationship, a cousin died of Covid and his father died in the February."
He said this led to a suicide attempt and during the "perfect storm" his client explained how his "head fell off" and he started dealing drugs.
Barker, of Park Road, Wallasey, admitted possessing cocaine with intent to supply after being caught in Wirral on October 24 last year.
He was jailed for two years and nine months.
Mark Needham
Mark Needham who travelled to Liverpool to meet a 14-year-old girl said he wanted to have sex with her in a McDonald's toilet.
In messages to the 'child' in 2017, the pervert said he wanted her to wear a short skirt for "easier access" to her underwear.
The 34-year-old sent pictures of his genitalia and sex videos of himself telling the girl he wanted to have sex with a "schoolgirl".
But he was really talking to a member of a paedophile hunter group, and was duped into meeting the 'girl' at Liverpool Lime Street Station.
Needham, of Windrows, Skelmersdale, was arrested on December 12, 2017 and confessed, but wasn't charged until January this year.
He admitted attempting to incite a girl into sexual activity, to meet a girl under 16 following grooming, to engage in sexual communication with a child and to cause a child to look at an image of sexual activity.
He was jailed for 12 months by a judge who said it would have been considerably longer if not for the "inexcusable" three-year delay.
Matthew Courtney
Matthew Courtney wrote off his friend's £82,000 Range Rover after he decided to take the V8 motor for a quick spin.
Inexplicably Matthew Courtney, who also works as a personal trainer, claimed he had no memory of driving the Range Rover SVR, which he took without permission, and said he was "aghast at his own behaviour".
He crashed the car into trees after losing control in Springwood Avenue in Allerton, shortly after 2am, on February 26 last year.
The 28-year-old, of Ebrington Street, Garston, was previously jailed for two and a half years in 2016 for drug trafficking.
He admitted aggravated vehicle taking and was jailed for eight months.
Jeffrey Hickey

A serial sex offender and danger to women was jailed once again.
Jeffrey Hickey, 41, was found guilty after a trial of two counts of rape and one of indecent assault.
His victim was just 13-years-old at the time the offences were committed in the 1990s, while he was 16.
The court heard Hickey molested the victim, whose childhood was ruined and turned to alcohol to cope when she was older.
The ordeal was brought back to her around 10 years ago, when she read in the Echo that Hickey had been convicted of a sexual assault, but it was 2018 before she came forward.
Hickey, whose past victims include an elderly resident in a nursing home and lone female students, was jailed for 11 years.
Lucy Thornton
Lovestruck prison officer Lucy Thornton had a baby with an HMP Altcourse inmate after an "inappropriate relationship".
The 28-year-old said she formed an "emotional relationship" with Aaron Whittaker while he served time for a wounding offence.
She gave him a secret phone number, later found in his cell, and even after receiving a warning Thornton carried on talking to him using a burner phone.
After he was transferred to Wolverhampton because of their relationship, she sent him messages through an 'Email a Prisoner' system and gave him £200 so he could pay off his drug debts.
When he was released they "got together" and Thornton gave birth to their child, now 10 months old, in August last year.
Officers discovered Aaron and his brother Haden Whittaker, who was also serving a sentence for wounding at Altcourse, had both used mini mobile phones from which they had texted and called Thornton from their cells in 2018 and 2019, after she became friends with Haden.
Thornton, of Orford Green, Orford, Warrington, admitted wilful misconduct with both brothers and was jailed for 10 months.
