It’s the offseason that keeps on giving for the Lawrence family.
Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence and his wife Marissa on Thursday announced they are expecting their first child, via social media.
“A little Lawrence on the way,” the Lawrence’s wrote in a post, with several photos including ultrasound images. No anticipated due date was shared.
The announcement marked another significant moment in what’s been a life-changing month for the Lawrence family, after the Jaguars made their star passer one of the highest-paid players in NFL history.
Jacksonville gave Lawrence a five-year, $275 million contract extension on June 13.
“They’re a big part of the community, Jaguars owner Shad Khan said about the Lawrence’s Wednesday. “[Trevor Lawrence], Josh Allen, some of these players, I mean their DNA is kind of woven into this city and that’s what you want.”
Through 50 regular season starts in three seasons with the Jaguars, Lawrence has completed 63.8% of his 1,750 passes for 11,770 yards with 58 touchdowns and 39 interceptions. He’s added 964 yards and 11 scores on the ground.
