Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins saw the silly trade speculation make the rounds recently, which means so did everyone else.
And to reiterate again — the Bengals aren’t trading Higgins. He’s under contract for one more year and the team can use avenues such as tags to keep him around longer if no long-term deal happens. There’s no reason to break up the Ja’Marr Chase-Higgins duo for Joe Burrow.
Still, that hasn’t stopped the speculation from getting people talking. And one of those people happens to be Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne.
Etienne, who played with Higgins and Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence at Clemson, shared a message on an Instagram story about a possible reunion in an attempt at recruiting and/or humor.
A funny moment, though at best, Etienne wouldn’t have a shot at that sort of thing until most likely after the 2024 season.
