The Jaguars do not expect to have starting safety Darnell Savage Jr. and rotational linebacker Ventrell Miller available against the Tennessee Titans in Week 17, Jacksonville head coach Doug Pederson revealed on Friday.
Neither Savage nor Miller have practiced this week as they nurse injuries suffered against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 16. Savage is in the concussion protocol; Miller hurt his ankle.
“Darnell Savage, he’s in the protocol. Wouldn’t expect him, I don’t expect him. Ventrell, same thing, ankle, don’t expect him to play,” Pederson said.
Savage has recorded 42 total tackles including two for loss, one interception and six defended passes in 12 starts this season, his first with the Jaguars after signing a three-year, $21.8 million free-agent contract with the club in March.
Miller, a second-year pro, has tallied 80 tackles with four for loss, three defended passes and one forced fumble in 15 games including nine starts this year.
Pederson previously ruled Jaguars starting left tackle Walker Little out against the Titans on Monday.
