Jacksonville Jaguars rookie cornerback Christian Braswell will be back on the practice field for the first time since October after the team opened his 21-day window to return from injured reserve.
Braswell, a sixth-round rookie, was a healthy scratch in Week 1, but played nine snaps on special teams over the next three weeks. He eventually landed on IR with a hamstring injury.
Jacksonville has dealt with a few injuries at the cornerback position, including losing Tyson Campbell for four games over a five-week stretch due to hamstring issues. In a Week 13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, veteran cornerback Tre Herndon suffered a concussion and second-year cornerback Gregory Junior was dealing with cramps.
Braswell spent three seasons at Temple before finishing his collegiate career with one year at Rutgers where he earned second-team All-Big Ten honors. He recorded 11 pass breakups and three interceptions in his sole season with the Scarlet Knights.
