Pro Football Network’s Aaron Wilson reported that the Jacksonville Jaguars are hosting Michigan running back Hassan Haskins on Thursday. Haskins will finish his tour of Florida with the Jags after visiting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Wednesday.
Haskins has been busy in the lead-up to the NFL draft on April 28. He’ll visit the Detroit Lions on Monday and has completed a private workout with the New Orleans Saints. Then he has a private dinner scheduled with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Despite all of his interest, he still isn’t considered one of the top running backs in this year’s class and will likely be a late-round draft pick. Haskins is still recovering from a high-ankle sprain suffered in the Wolverines College Football Playoff game versus the Georgia Bulldogs.
He tallied a career-high 1,327 yards, and a school single-season record 20 touchdown runs last season, including five rushing touchdowns against Ohio State.
Haskins would be an excellent running back for the Jaguars to take in the late rounds. They need to draft one as the Jags’ top two running backs James Robinson and Travis Etienne are coming off of season-ending injuries.
