The Jacksonville Jaguars will be among the teams with the most salary cap rollover from the 2024 season to the 2025 offseason.
Each season, any unused cap space isn’t just forgotten about, but instead, it rolls over to the upcoming offseason, adding to what teams already have available.
Recently, each NFL team officially submitted those amounts to the NFL, and Over the Cap got their hands on those figures.
The Jaguars will be rolling over $15.89 million from 2024 to 2025. This is the eighth-most in football. Leading the way was the San Francisco 49ers will over $50 million in carryover, thanks to a number of restructured contracts this past season.
Without that rollover figure baked in quite yet, Over the Cap is projecting that the Jaguars will have $36.12 million in available cap space this offseason–which ranks around the middle of the pack.
So if we add their rollover amount to that, they should be in the $52 million range, and of course, there are other ways that they can go about creating additional cap space if needed.
In terms of positions that the Jaguars will need to bolster this offseason, whether that be through free agency spending or the draft, a few that come to mind include safety, cornerback, wide receiver, along with both the interior offensive and defensive lines.
However, free agency isn’t only about making outside additions, they have a number of their own pending free agents to make decisions on as well.
