The Jacksonville Jaguars are among the teams with the fewest percentage of snaps played in 2024 by players who are entering free agency.
According to Nick Korte of Over the Cap, only 15.1% of the Jaguars snap count percentage will be free agents in 2025, which ranks as the third-lowest mark in football, behind only New England (14.7%) and Green Bay (14.6%).
In terms of unrestricted free agents, the Jaguars have a fairly small list overall. Below is a look at who those players are and their snap count percentage either on offense or defense this season.
RG Brandon Scherff (98.06%)
QB Mac Jones (48.11%)
IDL Jeremiah Ledbetter (36.8%)
LG Blake Hance (9.4%)
LB Caleb Johnson (0%)
S Andre Cisco (81.8%)
RB D’Ernest Johnson (18.5%)
TE Josiah Deguara (8.4%)
TE Luke Farrell (37.7%)
Roster continuity can be an important part of growth, but also a part of that equation is that there needs to be competition throughout each position group. It’s that competition element that really needs to be the catalyst behind Trent Baalke’s decision-making as he goes through the offseason.
The Jaguars will enter the offseason with roughly $36 million in available cap space for the 2025 offseason, according to Over the Cap, and that ranks right around in the middle of the NFL pack.
However, that figure doesn’t include their rollover amount of unused cap space from the 2024 season, which is among the most in football. There are also additional cap maneuvers that can be made to create more room.
