The 27-year-old Mondeaux originally signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon in 2018. He later had stints with the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers before being signed to the Giants’ practice squad last September.
The Giants elevated Mondeaux for a few games before eventually signing him to their 53-man roster in mid-November.
In 11 games (four starts) last season, Mondeaux recorded 16 tackles (five solo, one for a loss), one hurry, and one pressure. He also played on special teams.
Mondeaux was a restricted free agent who had not been tendered.
