With the NFL offseason here for the Jacksonville Jaguars, mock draft season is in full swing. So who do the draft experts have the Jaguars selecting in the latest edition of mock draft roundup?
What we know at this time is that the Jaguars will hold the fifth overall pick in this year’s draft. In total, they have 10 selections, which includes multiple picks in Rounds 3, 4, and 7–so the team will have their share of opportunities to add talent to the roster.
As far as when those picks in Rounds 2-7 will take place, that is still to be determined based on how the rest of the NFL playoffs shake out.
Step No. 1 for the Jaguars this offseason is to find their next head coach. Currently, the team has interviewed 10 different candidates, with a second round presumably incoming for those who advanced to the next stage.
But once that decision is made, it’s on to addressing the roster, whether that be through free agency or the draft.
After a four-win season, there’s a few different directions the Jaguars can go this offseason when it comes to which needs they tackle, but a few bigger ones include the secondary, the offensive line, and I would include defensive tackle as well, among others.
With the fifth selection, at least at this stage of the pre-draft process, the two most popular picks for Jacksonville are the Michigan defenders, Mason Graham and Will Johnson.
