The brunt of the offseason is in the books and training camp is coming soon. Join us in the NFL’s dead zone with a player-by-player review of the Jaguars roster ahead of the 2023 season.
Coy Cronk has played just six offensive snaps in his NFL career. But entering the 2023 season, the third-year veteran is suddenly one of the most tenured players on the Jacksonville Jaguars’ offensive line.
After first signing with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2021, Cronk joined the Jaguars practice squad in October of that season. While he’s spent almost all of his time in Jacksonville still on the practice squad, Tyler Shatley, Cam Robinson, Walker Little, and Ben Bartch are the only lineman who have been on the Jaguars roster longer than Cronk.
A former starter at both Indiana and Iowa, Cronk is now looking for a more permanent spot on the Jaguars active roster. And with few changes made to the interior of the line, there’s not many players standing in his way.
Contract (2023): $870,000 base salary, $870,000 cap hit.
Acquired: Jaguars signed Cronk to their practice squad on Oct. 22, 2021.

Quote: “He’s got starting ability, absolutely. Big, long, good head on his shoulders. He went to Iowa, played in two games and the ankle still was not right. He showed up for Iowa’s pro day and tested positive for COVID. You saw two games in 2020 that were bad and then you’ve got to go back almost two full years where you’ve seen just a few snaps, and then no pro day.” – unnamed scout on Cronk
