Traffic lights are currently out on East Prescot Road after a crash.
Emergency services were called to the main road, opposite Dovecot Place, after reports of a crash at around 11.10am on Wednesday, July 27. At the scene, officers found a Jaguar car and Ford Transit van were involved in the incident.
Officers say that the driver of the Jaguar suffered back and neck injuries in the crash. There was also damage to the car, including the wheel falling off.

Police say street furniture and traffic lights were also damaged and that the lights are currently out.
A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "We were contacted at 11.10am to a road traffic Collison involving a Jaguar car and a Ford Transit. The ambulance has been called to the scene.
"The male driver of the Jaguar is believed to have suffered back and neck pain. There is also damage to street furniture and the traffic lights at that location are currently out. The city council has been made aware."
