Jadon Sancho has hailed Cristiano Ronaldo's role in the Manchester United squad this season, detailing how he's helped the club's younger players develop.
Ronaldo, who has scored 15 goals in all competitions this term, returned to United last August after leaving Italian heavyweights Juventus.
His return to Old Trafford completed a memorable transfer window for United and their supporters following on from the captures of Raphael Varane from Real Madrid and long-term target Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
Ronaldo's return to the club put the icing on the cake as far as United and their supporters were concerned, although other voices have since suggested that the Portuguese star has hindered the Reds' progress this season with some suggesting Sancho has been among those so suffer as a consequence.
However, the England international has rubbished those suggestions, highlighting just how big an influence Ronaldo has been this season.
"It is great to play next to someone who people call the GOAT, so it is actually kind of crazy," Sancho told BBC Sport. "When he first came into the dressing room I was kind of stunned; I couldn't believe that I was going to be playing alongside him.
"To have him around is fantastic; he is a great player and is a great guy. He always wants to win and for the younger players he is always helping us learn new things, telling us what to do and how to do things to make things better.
"I really appreciate him for that and he is just a great guy overall."
Ronaldo, of course, is renowned as one of the greatest players of all-time and has brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to the United squad this term.
Explaining what 37-year-old has taught him and fellow youngsters, Sancho added: "The movement on how to beat a player, to be in the right positions when the midfield have the ball and things like that.
"Just being aware what is going on [he can help with] because he has been in the game for so long and he has that experience of how to beat players and to know where to be at the right time, like when a ball is being delivered and things like that.
"He is just a magician."
